No matter how much you try, no matter how many liberties were taken in that musical – it cannot be severed from real history. It simply cannot. If you truly think you can separate the two you are, at best delusional, and at worst excusing yourself from the responsibility of reckoning with the reality of these historical figures so you can have fun with your friends writing and drawing smut. I am sorry but that is just the way it is. If you are eschewing that responsibility and waving your ignorance around like a badge of honor I am going to take issue with that.
